The classic Cape Town day out, and the one most first-time visitors ask for.
You’ll head down the Atlantic seaboard through Camps Bay and Hout Bay, then onto Chapman’s Peak Drive — 114 bends carved into the cliff face, with the ocean a hundred metres below. From there it’s on to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, the south-westernmost tip of Africa, where the reserve’s walking trails and lighthouse look out over two oceans.
On the way back up the False Bay coast you’ll stop at Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony, then Simon’s Town and the fishing village of Kalk Bay if there’s time.
It’s a full day, and it’s worth every hour of it. Where you linger and where you press on is entirely up to you.
Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Constantia — the heart of South African wine country, and all within an hour of the city.
Cellar tours, tastings, and a long lunch somewhere with a view of the mountains. We’ll build the day around what you actually like to drink, whether that’s Stellenbosch reds, Franschhoek’s Cap Classique, or the old Constantia estates that have been making wine since the 1600s.
The best part: nobody in your group has to nominate a driver.
Table Mountain, the Bo-Kaap, the Castle of Good Hope and the V&A Waterfront. Add Signal Hill, the Company’s Garden, or Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens depending on the weather and what interests you.
It works well as a first-day orientation, and it’s the right choice if you’re in port from a cruise ship and working to a fixed departure time. We’ve done a lot of these — we know exactly how long you need and we get you back with room to spare.
Not everything worth seeing is a day trip from the city centre, and we’re happy to go further.
Hermanus and the Whale Coast in season. Cape Agulhas, the actual southern tip of Africa. The West Coast and Paternoster. Gansbaai for shark cage diving. Wherever you’re headed, we’ll get you there and back comfortably, and you’ll see more of the country from the road than you ever would from a plane.
Your own vehicle and your own driver-guide for the day. Hotel, guest house or Airbnb pickup and drop-off anywhere in Cape Town, and cruise terminal collection if you’re arriving by ship.
Our fleet runs from mid-range sedans through to executive vehicles and MPVs, so we’ll match the car to the size of your group. Every vehicle is fitted with tracking, and child safety seats are available on request — just tell us ages when you book.
Entrance fees to Cape Point, Boulders Beach and Kirstenbosch, and wine tasting fees in the Winelands, aren’t included in the drive.

Nothing is locked in on the day. If you want to stay longer somewhere, skip a stop, or add lunch at a place you spotted on the way past, just say so. That’s the whole point of going private.
